Since Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was a little child, he proved to be a talented boy. He is the son of Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and José Dinis Aveiro. He has one older brother, Hugo, and two elder sisters, Elma and Liliana Cátia. Cristiano's second given name, "Ronaldo," is relatively rare in Portugal. His parents named him after Ronald Reagan due to his late father's admiration for the former president.

He is now better known as Cristiano Ronaldo, the most popular, talented, handsome and powerfull football player of Portugal. He plays for Manchester United with th Number 7 jersey, and shows his talent every week in the Premier League.

His father, Dinis Aveiro died on September 7, 2005. Ronaldo played in a World Cup qualifier against Russia only hours after receiving the terrible news.He was also granted compassionate leave by Sir Alex Ferguson and missed the Manchester derby against Manchester City on September 10. However, he declared himself available for Manchester United's next game in the UEFA newer Champions League, against Villarreal.

Cristiano Ronaldo has dated the model Jordana Jardel, sister of Brazilian footballer Mario Jardel, and model Lauren Frain. Ronaldo has done charity work, as well as flying out Martunis, an 11-year-old Indonesian tsunami survivor and his father to attend one of their World Cup qualifiers in June 2005; covering all their expenses. Subsequently all the footballers contributed money to buy them a house in Indonesia.

He started his professional career at Sporting Clube of Portugal in 2002. The next year, the powerfull Manchester United decided to get him into their team, and they were not wrong. Cristiano Ronaldo has been there for 6 seasons, and scored more that 80 goals.

He has also played the 2004 UEFA European championship (runner up) and the 2006 World Cup (4th place) with Portugal.
